It's Papergirl Day!

Don't forget - sign up for the ride and join us today on our route around Cardiff giving out free art by bike!

There's so much fantastic work up for grabs - if you're not cycling, line the route (see our previous post) and wait for the riders to come by and give you a Papergirl roll of art!

If you get a roll, let us know!  A lot of the artists have put their contact details on the back of their work, so if you want to get in touch with them to let them know you've received it, please do.

And whoever gets this drawing by Spike Dennis will have an extra link to a video of him creating it, just look on the back:

Thanks again to all the artists who have contributed their work this year and to the cyclists who will give out the work today.  Join us in the bay to celebrate Papergirl Cardiff Day 2012!

Ride Details Announced.

This year's distribution ride will take place on Monday 4th June at 1pm, give or take a few minutes! Between 12pm and 1pm we will hold a bike decorating workshop for you to dress your steeds approriately and Cardiff Cycle Workshop will be on hand for any last minute mechanical worries.

We will start at our exhibition venue The Printhaus and head into the city centre via Bute Park. This section will be on quite roads and cycle paths. After a short meet up in town, we will then continue towards Cardiff Bay along Working Street and The Hayes, it's sure to be busy here, so make sure you've kept some rolls in reserve! This is a designated shared use path and part of the Cardiff Council cycle network, so no problems in cycling here, but please remember that pedestrians have right of way!

From there we will ride all the way down Bute Street and onto Cardiff Bay itself - why should the shopping district get all the fun! Keep some art for this stretch too. This section will take place on the road, so please be courteous to other road users, and remember your highway code! A map can be found here. Children are of course welcome, as long as they are accompanied by an adult. The whole ride will last about an hour.

We will end up at The Waterguard pub, by the Norwegian Church for a well deserved drink!
